Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on the 28th of October, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is from the fourth generation of Roberts family that been a resident of Atlanta. The story began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was farmer. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in theater from a young time. While in school at Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University and elsewhere in Atlanta. When he was stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he received his induction into the air force in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was also in the production. In 1955, they got married and, in 1956, their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter and his wife quit their Air Force service in and enrolled Walter at Tulane University. Walter worked for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The family moved in 1960 and moved into Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show that was aimed at children, known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou established The Actors and Writers Workshop. It lasted for 6 years. The couple also had two children: Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also named Lisa) and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also know as Julie).
