Shari Headley

Her character in Lisa McDowell, a romantic comedy film about moving to America (1988) and its sequel Coming 2 America (2021) is her most well-known role. Headley also has appeared in the films The Preacher's Wife (1996) and Johnson Family Vacation (2004). On television, Headley starred as Detective Mimi Reed in the ABC soap opera of the day All My Children on a daily basis from 1991 through 1994. She played the lead role in the Fox drama series 413 Hope St. (1997-1998), for which she received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actress In a Drama Series. From 2014 until 2016, Headley played the role of villain Jennifer Sallison in the Oprah Winfrey Network primetime soap opera The Haves and the Have Nots.
